- First of all, you need to take a medium-sized bowl and whisk the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder together, use a cheese grater to grate the butter into the bowl, and mix the butter with the flour with a fork to coat, and separate the pieces of butter, then you’ll need to cut the butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture comes out together, then add chocolate chips to the mixture and combined it well.
- Then take another bowl and whisk the starter, egg, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth then pour in the dry ingredients and use a fork to mix it well, the dough will look crumbly.
- Shift the dough onto a clean surface and use your hands to shape the dough into an 8-disc shape.
- Cut the dough into like 8 pieces using a bench scraper or you can just use a knife then arrange the wedges onto a parchment-lined baking sheet here is the important step you need to place the baking sheet in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes
